2. Описание работы. Цели и задачи: Проинформировать студентов в данной области; Расширить уже имеющиеся познания; Составить презентацию. На сегодняшний день английский является популярным, это мировой язык. Изучить его возможно занимаясь страноведением. А познать культуру другой страны невозможно без знания ее традиций. План работы: Просмотреть имеющийся материал, найти что-то новое, составить компьютерную презентацию, продемонстрировать свою работу.
Проект может быть использован на уроках английского языка в качестве наглядного пособия.
3. Рефлексия.
Поставленные цели были достигнуты. В результате работы проявляется умение анализировать, сопоставлять информацию, детализировать полученные данные, делать выводы.

The land & people of Great Britain
• The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland is the official name of the state which is situated in the British Isles. • It consists of 4 countries: England(London), Scotland(Edinburg), Wales(Cardiff) & Northern Ireland(Belfast). • The UK is the island state, which is separated by Irish Sea. • The UK is washed by the Atlantic Ocean in the north & the North sea in the east. • The official language is English
England consists of:
• The Southeast is highly populated; there is a lot of industry near the Thames. London is the capital of the UK. Heathrow Airport is about 33 km west of central London. The Southeast is famous for it’s resorts, Brighton is the best known.
• The Southwest is the region of farming. It used to be known for it’s pirates. The romantic past make it a popular place for artists, writers & holidaymakers.
• East Anglia has beautiful cities with fine historic buildings such as Cambridge. East Anglia is isolated from the rest of Britain because of it’s position away from the main national roads & because of it’s shape: it is more then half surrounded by sea.
• The Midlands is the heart of England. There are a lot of industrial & cultural centers, such as Oxford, Liverpool, Stratford-upon- Avon & Birmingham.
• The North of England. Here you can find deep valleys, rivers & waterfalls, hills & mountains. Main attractions are the Lake district, the cities of York & Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Great Britain is famous for its traditions. Some of them are national & the others are non-official.
In spring you can watch: • St David’s Day. March 1st is the very important day for Welsh people. • May Day. It is the celebration of summer’s beginning.
In summer: • The Trooping of the Colour. This ceremony is the official birthday of the Queen. • Swan upping • Highland Games. The Scottish traditionally meet together for the competitions
In autumn: • The state opening of parliament. • Guy Fawkes Day • Halloween
In summer: • Up-Helly-Aa • Carol singing
Results: This project can be used as a visual aid at the lessons of English language, because it caused the interest in the students & made me think that it would be the most optimal way of representing this or that topic.
